Dear Parents/Guardians,
Advent is just around the
corner! It is time, once again, to think about the Advent project with our
students and how we can truly experience the meaning of Christmas through
giving to others.
This year, the sixth grade
students will be partnering with local hospitals to give care items to patients
that are young children. The students
will be making cards and working on a project at school to contribute to the
baskets. We will be collecting items for the children beginning the week of
Nov. 16th until the week of Dec. 14th. With your
generosity, we can help brighten a hospitalized child’s day. J
Possible donations for our care baskets may include:
· crayons/markers/colored
pencils
· coloring books
· small stuffed animals
· throw
blankets
· small, age-appropriate toys
· puzzles
· stickers
· picture
books or young reader books
· candy
· kids’
movies/DVDs
· small,
handheld games
· card
games
*Please
make sure all toys/stuffed animals are unused and unopened, in the original
packing. This will help avoid the spread of germs.
Thank you for all of your
continued love for your children as well as these hospitalized children. God
Bless!
Respectfully,
~Your Sixth Grade Teachers
