6th Grade Classroom Updates

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome back! During these first three days of school, we will be reviewing classroom and school procedures, expectations, rules, and we will be getting to know one another. We will also help the students get organized for each of their classes. Please encourage your child to stay organized because this greatly helps the students stay on-task and focused throughout the year!

Today, the students received an agenda in which they are required to write the daily reminders/assignments. Each teacher will have this information on the board for the students. The children will also be bringing home a Classroom Management Plan, a sample of an improvement plan, and a sample of a reflection slip for you to review. Please return the signed “Classroom Management Plan” and the “Getting to Know Your Child” paper no later than Friday, August 14th.  We will also give the students their class schedules today and practice switching to each class period.

These first few days of school are full, and we will take the students through all of our procedures step-by-step so we are all on the same page. Open communication between home and school is essential for the best interest of the children. Recognizing that parents are the primary educators of your children, we want to work together with you to guide the students to succeed and achieve their goals!

Please contact us if you have any questions/concerns. Again, thank you for your support, and we are all excited to work with you to make this a wonderful learning experience for your child!

                                                Thank you!
