Parents: Please check your child's data folder and sign it on the specified space of the calendar page each weekend when it is sent home. Signing the data folder calendar page indicates that you have seen all of the data/information in that folder. This includes: the child's grades for each subject area, which the students are expected to record as they get back graded papers in class, behavior marks, AR points earned each week, AR goals and data (including book levels), MAP testing goals and results, as well as STAR math and reading assessment results.
In language arts class, we have recently taken the STAR reading assessment for the end of 3rd quarter and recorded those results on the "STAR math and reading" page. On the "AR Goals and Data" page, I recorded each student's average percent correct, points earned, and average book level tested during 3rd quarter for the Accelerated Reader program.
This is very valuable information, and I encourage you to look and it at home and discuss it with your child to set goals for further growth in reading. Thank you!
